Community guidelines

Scope and purpose
People who write in Fristo often do not know each other: the person who scans a QR sticker at the gate; the external contractor who reports back via a link; employees commenting on a work order; businesses sending us an idea or a problem. These guidelines apply to everything written and uploaded in the process.
Their purpose: that a report arrives quickly, a response stays factual and nobody has to fear what is written in the work order.
A report via a QR sticker is not an emergency call. If people are in danger, call 112 first.
How we treat each other
– Factual: describe what you see, not whom you hold responsible. “Gate stops halfway up” helps, “broken again, as always” does not.
– Respectful: criticism of a piece of work is allowed, attacks on people are not.
– Honest: do not pretend to be someone else, and do not report anything that is not true.
– To the point: a report concerns the asset the sticker is on.
– Sparing with personal data: name others only if the matter requires it.
What is not permitted
The following content is prohibited and will be removed:
– hate speech and discrimination on grounds of origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or other characteristics
– threats and calls for violence
– harassment and intimidation
– advertising, spam and masses of identical reports
– personal data of third parties without cause, in particular photos of people
– content to which you hold no rights
– wilful defamation, defamation and insults
– links to malware or phishing
– pornographic or offensive content
– automatically generated reports
Who decides
Reports, responses and comments belong to the business in which they are posted. Its administrators see them and can edit, close or delete them. In everyday operation, we only read them if the business visibly grants us access for a specific case — unless we are following up an indication of unlawful content or abuse, or are required to do so by law.
Ideas and requests addressed to us we read ourselves. We read every one, but publish none.
Reporting breaches
If something in your business breaches these guidelines, your administrators can remove it directly. If someone repeatedly misuses a QR sticker or a link, write to us at email@fristo.ch — we can throttle reports from one source or invalidate a link. If we remove something, we say why.
In the case of content relevant under criminal law, we reserve the right to inform the competent authorities.
Responsibility for content
Everyone is responsible for what they write or upload. Third-party content does not reflect our opinion, and we are not liable for damage arising from reliance on it.
For reports without an account we store no IP address — except briefly, to fend off mass reports. How we otherwise handle this data is set out in the privacy policy.
Legal basis
These guidelines are subject to Swiss law, in particular:
– Art. 28 of the Swiss Civil Code (ZGB) (protection of personality) and Art. 41 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) (liability in tort)
– the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP)
– Art. 173 (defamation), Art. 174 (wilful defamation), Art. 177 (insult) and Art. 261bis of the Swiss Criminal Code (StGB) (discrimination and incitement to hatred)
– the Copyright Act (URG)
To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is Winterthur.
